Translating imagination into social action.

Elysium for Social Poets is an interdisciplinary arts and social-impact incubator bringing together artists, scholars, activists, and communities to transform creative practice into public action.

What is a Social Poet?

A social poet creates possibility where others have been taught to accept inevitability.

We understand poetry beyond the page. A social poet might be a writer, artist, organizer, educator, scholar, gardener, filmmaker, or neighbor. What connects them is the practice of translating imagination into action.

Poetry becomes a way of listening. Art becomes a way of organizing. Storytelling becomes a way of preserving culture. Imagination becomes a tool for changing public life.
